Since 1990, Moving Studios has offered classes that are positive, friendly and full of movement. We help children develop motor skills and encourage creativity and self-expression through the art of dance.
Moving Studios offers…

Founders Eileen Lawson, Donna Starkman and Elizabeth Luff danced together in the Philadelphia area for a decade performing at the Painted Bride, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Please Touch Museum. Together they created a preschool dance curriculum that has been tested in a variety schools and communities. Lawson holds a BFA in Dance and a Master’s in Elementary Education. Starkman has degrees in both Dance and Elementary Education. Luff has a BA , has been an Artist in Education for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and is a certified teacher trainer for the PQAS program for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.
Luff is a certified trainer for the Department of Public Welfare early childhood programs and has taught teacher workshops for local and national Head Start programs. Luff has developed Fit2Learn, a series of movements designed to enhance learning readiness, and received a grant to pilot the program in a local elementary school. Presently she is developing curricular materials: The Dancing Year: A Year of Creative Dance Lesson Plans for Preschoolers.
